Nothing better than a big box of these delicious cauliflower bites for gameday! Be the change and offer those to your guests instead of poor chicken. They are healthier, easily made and completely cruelty free. You should get your hands on these!
Ingredients (Makes 10-15 bites)
- Half of a cauliflower head
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- Pinch of salt
- 1-2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup hot pepper sauce (I used Frank’s red hot)
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tbsp vegan butter substitute
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Preheat the oven to 450F. Start by chopping the cauliflower into bite-sized bits and leave aside for now. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, almond milk and salt until it forms a thick but runny batter (you might need to add 1-2 tbsp of milk).
Take one of cauliflower individually and dip them into the batter until it is completely covered. Let the batter excess drip back in the bowl and then roll the cauliflower in the breadcrumbs until there’s a good layer of it all around. Repeat for rest of the cauliflower. Once you are finished, arrange them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes.
While this is baking, warm up a small pot over low-medium heat and throw all the buffalo sauce ingredients in there! Cook until the butter is fully melted and pour into a bowl to allow it to cool down and thicken a bit.
Once the cauliflower bites are baked, let them cool down for a few minutes so that you can manipulate them without burning yourself. Cover all of them with the sauce and put back in the oven for another five minutes. Serve immediately once they are ready and let them warm up your stomach!
