Watermelon Basil Juice

Prep time: 5 mins, Cooking time: 0 min, Difficulty: Easy, Pricing: $

Summer time is watermelon time! Seriously, we almost don’t let a day pass without eating some, they are just so delicious. The other day, Joël wanted to try something else than just eating them and made this juice.

Ingredients (makes 2 glasses)

  • ¼ of a watermelon
  • 10 basil leaves
  • juice of half a lemon (optional)

This recipe is incredibly simple but so refreshing on warm days! Start by removing the flesh of a quarter of a watermelon using a spoon and throw it into a high-speed blender. Then add in the basil leaves (you might have to chop them beforehand depending on the quality of your blender) and the lemon juice if using it. Blend on high for 30 seconds and serve right away! If you crave for more of it, you can always use a full melon worth of juice and store the extra in the fridge for a few days.
