Vegan Maple Syrup Pie

An absolute classic here in Canada! You wanna try this, EH?


  • ¼ cup vegan butter or margarine
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • pie crust (we are lazy and buy it in a store)


Melt the butter in a pot over medium-high heat. Once it’s fully melted, add the flour and stir well. Add water and maple syrup and bring to a boil stirring constantly. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes and put into a prepared or store-bought pie crust. Leave in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.
